Serving the needs of families with young children, CreekStone Academy will soon open in Madison, AL at 749 Palmer Road. Our spacious, state-of-the-art childcare center is designed to allow children to explore and learn. We offer Preschool/Daycare, Before & After School Care, and Seasonal and Specialty Camps. CreekStone Academy is proud of the extraordinary care offered to our families.
ABOUT YOU
As the CreekStone Academy Cook, you will be responsible for meal planning, food prep, cooking and food inventory for the enrolled children. You will join our team and be responsible for shaping the lives of these amazing children who hold such high potential. Children’s ages will be 6 weeks to age 5.
You will continue CreekStone’s legacy of bringing quality care and big smiles to our families through an engaging and caring environment for everyone who walks through our doors. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to Center Director
- Research and create monthly menus which are kid-friendly, nutritious and follow state and federal requirements
- Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff
- Plan menus, shopping trips, food and supply orders and keep stock of inventory
- Assist in the center’s operations as needed
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with food preparation and cooking for large groups – we prefer experience in a childcare center but not a must
- Openness to learning and observation. We will train you in how to create menus and keep inventory.
- Flexibility in work hours.
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven success and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as climb up/down ladder.
- Ability to pass background check
